With the summer underway and live events taking place all over Scotland, Aspen Solutions is taking on a lot of new and exciting projects. We wanted to fill you all in on some brilliant events we are working on over the next few months.
This summer we will be working with our partner Hire Intelligence to provide multi-functional photocopiers for the 150th Open Championship in St. Andrews. We have previously connected with Hire Intelligence for the COP26 exhibition, where we hired some of their large TV displays as part of the kit we were installing on site. Shortly after this we partnered with Hire Intelligence as their presence in Scotland, assisting with IT support for customers.
The Open Championship is one of golf’s biggest events and we are proud to be supporting The Open as it celebrates its 150th competition. The event takes place on the 10th-17th July this year, where the world’s best players will travel to Fife in order to compete for the Claret Jug. With a record-breaking 290,000 spectators attending The Open, it will be the largest event in the Championship’s long history. The sensational event (which Tiger Woods has confirmed to be attending) is an exciting part of Scotland’s event calendar, bringing in many tourists and boosting the economy.
We noticed that clients were using only small desktop photocopy hires and offered to be a supplier of large multi-functional photocopiers, which we can supply all over the UK. Now when Hire Intelligence have any clients with large scale events, we fulfil their photocopier needs. This was a big win for us to work with such a prestigious event, so we are thrilled to be involved. We had already installed one photocopier back in May as preparations began and five more devices go in next week. Another seven will be installed during July for the main event too.
We have quite a few big events coming up! Today we are installing photocopiers at Bellahouston Park for DF Concerts’ Hella Mega Tour gig. We’ll also be doing TRNSMT next month for DF Concerts and for the BBC again. We’ve been doing TRNSMT for a few years now and we look forward to it each time. It’s great to have built a strong working relationship and get to work with the same friendly faces.
We’ve also been busy working for the SECC on events over the last few months, supporting their IT team. It’s been nice and busy! All of us at Aspen are glad that live events are up and running again. From a personal point of view, we all missed live music terribly during lockdown. It’s amazing to see live events happening again. From a business standpoint, being able to support our customers like BBC and DF Concerts as they get back up and running has been brilliant. We look forward to supporting their events this summer and wish them all the best as they continue!
