Mimecast Limited is a leader in enterprise cloud services for the security, archiving and management of email and corporate human-generated data. The company’s email security and cloud archiving services are built on Mimecast’s world-leading secure cloud platform and optimized for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
Founded in 2003, the company has over 18,000 customers, over 5 million users and works with over 800 channel partners worldwide. It has over 500 employees serving the needs of these customers in eight offices in the U.S.A., the UK, Australia and South Africa.

Mimecast have been purchasing from Aspen for over 3 years. Initially only fulfilling Ad-Hoc requirements, progressing to be their main supplier for all End-User Computing hardware, Data ingestion products and networking equipment.

The Challenge
Due to a planned office expansion at Mimecast’s head office at Citypoint London, they required:

  • the procurement, supply and install of over 100 new network points
  • associated switches
  • telephony equipment

Our Solution

  • Working directly with the Global Director of IT, and his team of EUC technicians, we implemented a plan for each stage of their cycle of laptop and data ingestion upgrades.
  • We successfully purchased their preferred hardware in bulk and managed warranties.
  • We maintain an up to date accessory list for each model of laptop whilst supplying, at an enterprise level, HP, Juniper and Cisco Networking equipment. Corresponding accessories were shipped automatically and we secured warehousing and holding of stock.
  • Dell Enterprise and HP Storage and Servers were provided as well as IT Support on an ad-hoc basis.

The Results

  • EUC team to operate on far fewer numbers than they would if all of these services were being done in house
  • paying less to us for the complete package than they were for the hardware only in the past
