Aspen have joined the United Nations Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative with the aim to make the compact and its principles a fundamental part of our business plan, daily workings and business ethos. How the Global Compact will benefit Aspen?Aspen could see the benefits of becoming a participant in the UN Global compact from the outset, it sets our business apart, giving us the opportunity to adopt an |

already highly established basis to grow and apply environmental, social and governance procedures and practices.
Other benefits include:
Aspens commitmentWhen joining the corporate responsibility initiative Aspen vowed to commit to the ten universal Global Compact principles, putting the principles in to motion, making them a fundamental part of our business strategy, and openly advocate the use of these through various media channels. Aspen aim to train all staff on implementation of the principles, and review all procedures to meet the necessary guidelines to achieve continuous improvement and change. We also endeavour to have a human rights record, and recognise why human rights are relevant to our company, and put procedures in place to handle human rights impacts. The recognition of rights at work and discrimination in the work place are, and will continue to be an important part of Aspens culture, giving training when necessary and making sure staff are aware of their rights at all times. Aspen are aware of the environmental impact through the use of ‘unfriendly’ technologies, and are currently in the process of creating a paperless office through electronic document management, recycling all hardware, and selling a green IT box for our customers to also recycle their hardware. Communicating our commitment. Finally Aspen intend to create an annual communication of progress (COP) outlining what Aspen have learned from the Compact, the benefits we have recorded and the steps that we have undertaken throughout the year to implement the Compact. This information will be posted on the Global Compact website, and an information pack will be sent out to all stakeholders in June 2010. If you would like more information about Aspen supporting the United Nations Global Compact please view the signed principles below or call us Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm on 08450 780 790 or request a call back.
